My story is one of resilience and hope in the face of difficult circumstances. Growing up in the red-light area, I faced many challenges like staying alone unattended for hours while my mother was out doing her trade and I was deprived of basic access to food and clothing and education. I had a rough beginning, being the youngest in my family I was forced to grow too fast.
Over time my mother, Nafisa, who still worked in the trade, recognized the importance of education and approached the Sahaara staff at the education center to admit me into the Girl’s Hostel. I was able to join Sahaara hostel and started my education. It was challenging to admit me in a formal school as I had never been to school before.
To assist with my academic performance, I attend tuitions on a regular basis and self-study is also conducted by the staff at Krupalay to ensure I get proper basic foundation in education. I am an enthusiastic girl with a heart to explore and grow. My elder sister, Muskan, also stays in the hostel I have also made a lot of new friends here at the hostel.
