God calls us to disciple all nations (people groups). India has the greatest number of these, but often accessibility is difficult and receptivity takes time to develop. Working with local pastors who can bridge language and cultural divides, you can accomplish God’s purpose to invite them into the Kingdom. As the number of believers increases, the need for local churches that mature and continue to reproduce becomes necessary.
As the people in these churches are primarily from non-Christian backgrounds, it is important to have churches teach strong fundamentals and a foundation of Biblical truth. Christian values and behavior will follow a proper foundation. These pastors are trained in effective communications for oral based cultures.
The pastors you see here work in difficult, often remote places. The people they serve are often illiterate, hard-working, agricultural laborers. They suffer in poverty and frequently have little access to safe water. These pastors, along with their wives and children, will leave the comforts of a life in the city and gladly suffer the challenge of living in harsh conditions away from family so that others might hear the Good News.
Romans 10:14-15 asks; “how will they hear unless someone is sent?” Ours is the opportunity to send.
