Two Goats, Seventeen Blessings
At dawn, Bamaniya steps outside to care for his goats, counting them like a father counts his blessings.
Bamaniya’s family of seven lives in a remote tribal village in India.
Their only income came from farming, but because their crops depended on the rainy season, there were months when there simply wasn’t enough to support the family.
Then, at a critical time, Bamaniya received two goats.
He and his family cared for them faithfully, and their small herd began to grow.
Today, those original two goats have multiplied into seventeen. Bamaniya has already sold three, providing income for food, his children’s needs, and their education.
“My income was not enough to bring a goat like this,” he says.
“But thanks to this gift of two goats, now I can get a lot of financial help for my family.”
What began as a simple gift has become an ongoing source of income and opportunity.
Two goats became seventeen. And one small act of generosity is continuing to multiply into blessings for Bamaniya’s family and their future.
